Ellie is a first year dual MSW/MPH student at Washington University in Saint Louis concentrating in health and criminal justice with a specialization in management and policy. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton in Women's and Gender Studies and Political Science in December 2012. Her undergraduate research focused on human rights abuses of women within the criminal justice system and this interest took her to Guatemala to comparatively study justice systems. Ellie is currently an intern with the Saint Louis City Justice Center Division of Corrections. She is facilitating the Transitional Employment Program under the Fathers Make A Difference: A Reentry Mentoring Project with Kelly.
Kelly is a first-year MSW student at Washington University in St. Louis concentrating in mental health and criminal justice. She received her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Auburn University in December 2013. Her undergraduate research experience focused on juvenile offenders. Kelly worked at Mt. Meigs Juvenile Correctional Facility under Dr. Barry Burkhart doing intake and discharge interviews with juvenile sex offenders, substance abuse populations, and general correctional populations. Currently Kelly is an intern at the St. Louis City Justice Center Division of Corrections. She is facilitating a life skills program for a juvenile in protective custody in addition to co-facilitating the Transitional Employment Program with Ellie.
