Florida Works is the main program that we used to adapt Transitional Employment Program (TEP). The Florida Works curriculum is similar to TEP in its content and goals.
The St. Louis Alliance for Reentry (STAR) is an agency that works with incarcerated individuals from pre-trial through reentry into the community. STAR focuses on enhancing public safety by providing comprehensive reentry programming for released inmates.
The Center for Women in Transition helps women being released from correctional settings by providing housing and programming for them to get reintegrated into the community.
The Fathers Support Center is a nonprofit organization that works with fathers to improve parenting skills and child outcomes. The St. Louis City Justice Center Department of Corrections has a grant with the Fathers Support Center to fund TEP.
The City Justice Center (CJC) and Medium Security Institution (MSI) are the two jails in St. Louis City. Ellie and Kelly are interns at CJC but facilitate TEP at MSI. All people arrested in St. Louis city are sent to CJC for intake and then transferred to MSI if they are considered to be low or medium risk. CJC is a maximum security facility only.
Criminal Justice Ministry (CJM) is a nonprofit organization that works with inmates during and after incarceration in numerous areas—from employment to education. The CJM staff was very helpful on the forefront of this program by assisting with initial planning and finding curricula to adapt.
St. Patrick Center provides housing and employment assistance to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. St. Patrick Center provided CJC with HEP to help adapt TEP.
The Concordance Academy and Institute is a holistic reentry program that Ellie and Kelly's research supervisor, Carrie, has created in conjunction with Danny Ludeman, former Wells Fargo CEO.
